BloomRest™ Encased Coil 8-Inch Futon Mattress

Responsive support, beautifully layered.

The Encased Coil 8-Inch Futon Mattress from the BloomRest™ collection is a medium-feel mattress made in the USA by Gold Bond, with 560 individually wrapped coils designed to provide responsive support for regular overnight sleep. Its 560 independently wrapped, heat-tempered carbon-steel coils adjust to movement and help limit motion transfer between sleep partners. Two layers of soft foam and custom-blended JOY® cotton batting add comfortable cushioning while preserving the buoyant feel of an innerspring mattress, making it a supportive and flexible choice for bedrooms, guest rooms and convertible spaces.

Why Choose an Encased Coil Mattress?

In a connected innerspring system, movement can travel across the mattress. The individually wrapped coils inside the Pocket Coil Support Mattress move more independently, helping limit how much motion is felt on the opposite side.

This makes the mattress especially appealing to couples, light sleepers and anyone who wants a more traditional mattress experience in a guest room, studio or flexible living space.

Inside the Pocket Coil Support Mattress

The support system begins with individually wrapped coils secured within fabric pockets. Each spring can compress more independently than coils in a traditional connected innerspring system, providing responsive support while helping reduce partner disturbance.

The encased coils are secured to a durable stabilizing panel that helps keep the spring unit aligned. Heat-tempered carbon steel supports long-term resilience and helps each coil retain its shape through regular use.

Above and below the coil unit, two layers of super-soft foam add cushioning and comfort. Custom-blended JOY® cotton batting surrounds the comfort layers, creating the mattress’s substantial body and softly tailored feel.

Premium Mattress Comfort for Flexible Living

This is not a thin, temporary futon cushion. The Pocket Coil Support Mattress combines a substantial eight-inch profile with independently encased coils, cotton cushioning and supportive foam for a more familiar mattress experience.

It is a considered choice for couples, guest rooms, city apartments and multifunctional spaces where a mattress may need to support both daytime lounging and overnight comfort.

It may be placed on a properly sized platform bed or used with a compatible convertible frame. Because tufted futon mattresses are designed to compress and flex, their finished dimensions may vary slightly from conventional rigid mattresses.
